May 2021 Club meeting minutes

WFCCC May 19, 2021 Meeting minutes Officers present – Eric Heflin, Steve Hunt, Rich Sankovich, Marshall Shiley 1. Meeting opened with prayer led by Eric Heflin 2. Secretaries minutes from April 21, 2021 meeting read and approved by membership. 3. Treasurers report: April 1, 2021 checking account balance $36,994. April 30 end of month balance $36,638. Major payments made included land loan $1994, Tractor payment $384, Orndorffs Trout stocking payments - $1345 and $998, $685 paid to Winchester Printers for membership renewal cards and tickets, and $595 for Still target shoot targets , $195 was spent on Easter Egg hunt April 3rd, $728 paid for utilities, trash and Johnny Blue. $6,026 for dues and shoots deposited, Scholarship CD balance $16,937, Club CD balance - $503, Land Loan balance - $5,338. Membership approved report. 4. One new member were sworn in at the meeting 5. Club Picnic set for September 5, 2021 – food served at 1 pm by Jordan Springs. Set up to begin at 9 am that day and any volunteers are welcome. Cost is $8 per adult and children 8 and under eat free. 6. Motion made and carried to invest $8000 from scholarship CD in to a Tax Sheltered annuity for a Five year period paying up to 2.7% interest as opposed to the .25% interest CD is currently earning. 7. Workday at club set for August 21, 2021 starting at 9 am and ending at 2 pm. Lunch and beverages provided. Bring string trimming, loppers, gas blowers and work gloves. Target back boards for ranges may also be fabricated that day. 8. Marshall Shiley donated and installed a Heat pump HVAC system for the clubhouse to help provide additional heating and avoid freeze up over the winter months! Thanks Marshall! 9. Jeff Feltner turned in $1788 from Still Target shoots! Thanks Jeff! Jeff also stated there will be a Still Target shoot at Club one time per month over this summer on a Saturday – schedule to be announced once we obtain the #9 shot shells needed to run this shoot. 10. Trap shoots have started with first 5 scheduled for Friday evenings at 6pm and will be moving to Thursday nights on June 17. Come out for some fun. 11. Membership approved the purchase of around $600 worth of needed tools for facility maintenance. We lack post hole diggers, wheel barrows etc. to name a few. 12. The Club website has been renewed for another two years at a cost of $400 and our domaine name was renewed for free for next 3 years. 13. The lake condition was discussed as dissolved oxygen level fell into the 6-8ppm range when tested May 19. The air compressor aeration system plug was found detatched and re-plugged in. One of the Clubs top floating aeration units will also be installed in lake as a backup during the coming week. 14. Membership update – 1435 members as of 5/15/21 and dues collected total at $88,320 since June 15, 2020 for the 2021 memberships new/renewed. 409 of the members were New, or Renewing members who forgot to pay last year. 237 members from 2020 did not renew for 2021 membership. 2021 Membership closed as of May 15, 2021, and 2022 membership will open for new and renewal as of June 15, 2021. 15. 50-50 raffle $32 to scholarship fund, $33 to winner. 16.
