As of January 4, 2021, all 10 High Schools in our membership have been sent the “Mac Tlumach Conservation Scholarship” application form. In addition, the information on the scholarship was published in the Winchester Star in the Club News section in January 5, 2021 edition. 5. Kirk Gordon applied, and WFCCC received a $500 grant from National Hunting and Fishing Day Group – LIVE IT! The grant has conditions to be satisfied and published if we are to receive it again, and will need to be discussed at first club meeting in March 2021. 6. The Land Use for Forestry form was filed and fee paid for our Shenandoah Co. properties to avoid the major property tax billing in early December. We do not know if it has been approved yet, and the property taxes are close to 7 times higher in that county if not approved. The Form MUST be FILED YEARLY before 12/5 each year and is not mailed out. You must appear in person to retrieve form, fill out, pay filing fee and submit. 7. The Triennial(every 3 years) request form to retain Non-Taxable property status for all of our WFCCC Frederick Co. Properties was sent to Frederick County Commissioner of Revenue in early December 2020. We are still awaiting a ruling by that office of our status.(edited to change Triennial from 10 year to 3 year timespan)
